When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.

If you use our certified mail feature, we collect your mailing address and the recipient address for letter delivery.

When you upload a bill for analysis, we temporarily process the document to extract text via OCR. We do not retain the original document after processing is complete.

Bill analysis — We use the text extracted from your uploaded documents to identify billing errors, overcharges, and potential legal violations.

Letter generation — We use your case details to generate dispute letters, debt validation requests, and other correspondence on your behalf.

Account management — We use your email to manage your account, send transactional emails, and communicate important service updates.

Account data (email, name, case records) is stored in Supabase with row-level security enforced per user.

Uploaded bill documents are temporarily stored in AWS S3 for OCR processing. Once text extraction is complete, the original document is deleted.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the BillFighter service.

Uploaded bill images and PDFs are deleted from our servers after OCR processing is complete. The extracted text and analysis results are retained as part of your case record for as long as your account is active.

If you delete your account, all associated data — including case records, letters, and analysis results — will be permanently removed.

We use essential cookies to manage authentication and session state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site.
